...But it wasn't a real break.

Look at that. I just started this blog and already took a break... But it wasn't a real break! I have been working my ass off re-doing (is that a word?) our bathroom. Now, I am not talking just throw some paint on the walls or something like that. I did paint. The wall paper left there by the previous owner was just too ugly. I have no idea why we didn't do that sooner.

The whole bathroom was really ugly! It has pink and blue/ grey ceamic tiles on the walls and floor. It also has pink sink, tub, and toilet. When I say pink, I mean PINK! Very ugly! I am a fan of pink, but not this one and this much. The vanity was grey and the counter top was grey.

So, I have been painting the walls a very nice shade of brown a few shades lighter than chocolate. I painted the vanity white. My dad, hubby, and I have been working very hard on a beautiful ceramic tile counter top. I got a fabulous sink very cheap at Home Depot! And a new faucet also relatively cheap. The counter top needs to be grouted tomorrow and then sealed and will be done!

I still need to have the boys change the toilet. But before they finish that, I want to buy new floor too.

On my to do list is to paint the ugly, ugly tiled walls. I have the primer, but still have to pick what color I want to paint. I will probably pick either a light brown or off white color.

I'll probably have to take another break later this week as the hubby's niece and newphew will be staying with us for a few days. I love these kids, but I already have my own to take care of. It makes it a little better that they are older than my kids and can take care of themselves a little bit. I just don't want to think about trying to entertain them.
