I'm starting to worry...
I'm starting to worry about GB's teenage years. Yes, you read that right. I'm worried about my three year old's teenage years! My hubby's 13 year old niece stayed with us over the weekend. She came to go to a hockey game with us and stayed to go to a football game with her parents. She got a cell phone for her birthday. She was texting her friends the entire time she was here! If that's not enough to make make me worry, the background on her cell phone? A shirtless hockey player. Yep, totally hot, but not what I expected to be on her cell phone. She is obsessed with the hockey players, as I am , but I'm an adult... (It doesn't make the hubby real happy though.) To make things even worse, she told me that her friend has a boyfriend! She is entirely too young for this! Her friend's boyfriend is in highschool, they are in seventh grade... SEVENTH GRADE! This is totally insane to me. I think I'll be institutionalized in 10 years!

I'm SO with you...I worry about Cubby's teenage years all. the. time. I guess all we can do is soak up these innocent days and not think too hard about what atrocious version of Miley Cyrus/Bratz dolls/Gossip Girl they'll be worshipping 10 years from now...shudder.
you know, i remember being pretty boy crazy when i was in 7th grade, but it wasn't that bad.
it was more like... i'm so ugly and nerdy that no boy will ever like me and want to hold my hand.
and my pics on my walls were of kirk cameron and fred savage.
it was a simpler time then.
And this is just ONE reason I'm glad I never had girls! I remember being an uncontrollably boy crazy girl...let me tell you, I think my Dad turned completely gray while I was between 14 and 18. My parents have told me that they were glad cell phones weren't available when I was a teenager.
