I bought a plain black comforter and a Pittsburgh Penguins patch on ebay. I used my excellent (HA!) sewing skills to sew the patch on to the comforter. The black futon cover finally came in and we put that on along with a few sports related pillows and a Steelers blanket draped over the back. My dad helped me hang the "curtain rods" which are not curtain rods at all, but hockey sticks with tab top valences hanging from them. The sliding closet doors are off and I have painted the inside Penguins gold. There will be a stripe of black and a few hooks to hang jerseys to make it look like a locker room area. I am also working on spray painting some shelves black to add much needed toy storage in the locker room area. Here's a pic of the hockey curtain rods. You can see the edge of the awesome bed in the corner. I'm going to add one more valence to get rid of the gap in the center. But I think that it turned out really cool!

My other project is decorating GB's huge dollhouse. My father in law built it for her and I have had it for so long. I just haven't had the time! So I decided I should probably get it done before he comes out for BB's birthday party in a week and a half! Please wish me luck on that!

In addition to Easter next week, BB's birthday party is the following Saturday. BB is aking for a Monster Jam birthday cake. I haven't decided if I should go the easy route and just put a couple of crushed cars and a monster truck on a cake or should I do what I really want to do and make a 3-D monster truck cake... I know, with everything else that's going on I should just go the easy route, but I won't... because I need more stress!

GB and I went to the mall last week. She saw the Easter Bunny and hid behind me! In her defense, he was huge and kinda scary looking! It was pretty funny though because all these little babies were so calm getting their pictures taken. There were toddlers running up to him and giving him hugs. But my three and a half year old hid behind me...

In other GB news, she has decided to change her name. To Dora. That's right she thinks she is Dora the Explorer! She has her own backpack (exactly like Dora's) that she wears all day. According to her, my dad is Boots, my mom is Abuela, BB is Diego, and the hubby and I are Papi and Mami. My parents have a dog that she has renamed Swiper! She and "Boots" go on adventures together. "Boots" tells her what the map says to do! It's hilarious and totally cute!

Operation New Room

The room remodel is in full swing! I painted on Saturday. Boring old white. The hubby and I took down the sliding closet doors and we are making a small "study area/ toy storage area" there. I bought 5 hockey sticks today. I am hoping to be crafty enough to figure out how to use them to make curtain rods and a lamp... If it doesn't go well, at least BB will have lots of hockey sticks to play with! His bed also came in today! He was super excited all day about sleeping on the top bunk. When bedtime rolled around, he was pretty scared to stay up there, but he laid down and wend to sleep really quickly! I think I love the new bed already! GB insisted on sleeping on the bottom bunk. She's "having a sleepover in BB's room!" She is also super excited about the bed. This is the bed. It's a picture from another website, so picture it without all the stuffed animals and crazy futon cover, and add a black futon cover. I'm actually kinda jealous... I would've loved this bed when I was young.I'll keep you updated as things get done! He'll be five next month. I thought we had at least another year or two before this happened! Anyway, we are getting rid of his race car bed and he is getting bunk beds. He will have a futon on the bottom that opens out into a full size bed. Of course he doesn't need anything that elaborate, but he's very spoiled that way! He chose to decorate his room with the local sports teams paraphernalia. That's good for me. We have tons of that! His room is totally wrecked right now! I took down the nascar border tonight. It came down very easily, so I was happy about that. But, while doing that, I had to move all of the furniture and toys. Lucky for me, he is staying at his Grandma and Pap's house tonight! Guess I'll be in there tomorrow trying to clean it up enough for him to sleep in there!

GB has taken to sleeping on her floor... She has a very nice and comfy daybed, but likes the floor better. Go figure. As long as she is sleeping, I don't care where she sleeps! Now, if I could just find a way to get BB to sleep...

Yes, I'm alive!

Wow! It's been forever since I posted! I'm not even sure why I haven't posted. My life has not been THAT crazy!

Anyway, last week we had parent/ teacher conference with bb's preschool teacher. I was kind of nervous going in because the boy has so much attitude with us and I wasn't sure how much of that he took to school with him. Turns out, he takes none!! I guess he saves it all for me... Anyway, they said he shares well, always contributes to conversations and lessons (and what he says is relevant!), is doing well learning his letter sounds, and is the only child in the class who writes first and last name. They are only going to start working on last names this month!

We took bb to Chuck E. Cheese for his friend's birthday party on Saturday. BB's girlfriend's mom asked how our conference went and the hubby told her it went well. He didn't say too much because he didn't want to seem like he was bragging. Good thing he didn't! C's mom said that her conference didn't go well... The teacher told her that C is bossy and mean to the other kids. Yeah, we already knew that... bb has been coming home pretty upset because C doesn't like him anymore or doesn't want to play with him. For a while, I was sad that they would go to different kindergartens next year. Now I'm ok with that. If we can just make it until the end of May, I'll be happy.

GB's dance teacher made the mistake of showing the girls the recital costume. It looks like a Cinderella dress except short because it's a tutu not a dress. They will be dancing to a Disney princess song. We got to watch them last week. If you've never seen a group of three year olds do ballet, I reccomend it! Totally cute! Everyday since she saw the costume, gb has asked me if the recital is today. OH MY GOODNESS! How will I make it until May 31st?!?! It will only get worse though. They get to wear the costume in March for pictures...

Good news and bad news

The good news is, we don't have lice. So far. The bad news is BB is sick. He woke up Friday with a fever and cough. He was pretty miserable. He was supposed to play soccer on Saturday morning, but was still sick. I've never seen the kid cry so hard! He was devastated that he couldn't go to his game. He told me "I'm never getting sick again!" I wish it was that easy kid! So far, nobody else has gotten sick, but I probably just jinxed myself! I'll take sick over lice any day!

In other news, I'm trying to convince the hubby to move so that we can have another baby. His biggest arguments are that we can't afford it and we don't have the space for it. We live in a three bedroom house, which I think is plenty big enough. But hubby thinks children should not have to share rooms. I found a house that looks nice, is in a nice neighborhood, is four bedrooms, and would be less expensive than our current house. I would be sad moving from this house because we live across the street from my parents. I would miss the convenience, but the other house is only a few miles away. I really like our house and area, but I really want another baby too... (sorry about the whining lol)

UGH! Lice

No, not in my house, yet. BB's girlfriend has lice... Ever since I heard, I've been so itchy just thinking about it. Nobody in my family has had lice and I'm really hoping that it stays that way! BB doesn't know about it. He just tells me that she has not been in school for two days. He also can't figure out why I keep checking his head. lol I'm a little neurotic when I hear about lice. I'm ok with germs and sickness, but lice freaks me out! We are getting haircuts tomorrow and GB wants her hair cut short. The other mom's at BB's school are going to think we had lice... lol

GB threw the mother of all tantrums today. What was the problem? She didn't want to get her hair combed. I told her she needed her hair combed to take BB to school and then go to storytime. She absolutely refused. Finally, I got her calmed down enough to get her hair combed. Then there was another tantrum that made me carry her out the door and forget that it was BB's snack day at school. We got BB to school, but did not have snack. Luckily we live close to school and drove back home for it. After dropping BB's snack off at school, GB was finally done with her tantrum and we went to lunch and storytime.

It's been a rough day and it's only 4:00... If there was alcohol in this house, I'd be drinking now!

Girls night out and BB's date

I can't tell you how wonderful my friends are! On Friday night, we went to dinner at a new mexican restaurant. Very yummy! Then we had to make a few quick stops at Wal-Mart, Joanne Fabrics, and Kohl's. Then went to a local bar and downed too many drinks. I'm not sure which part of the night was the most fun...

Most people don't think of Wal-Mart as a very fun place. We do... We are total goof balls! My friend, A, grabbed the clear plastic cup shapers for bras and put them on her boobs over her shirt and wore them around the store! I about peed my pants in the middle of the store!

We stopped at Joanne Fabrics to buy a snap for a project J is working on. In the snap aisle, are the parts for making bras... Of course, A grabs the cups and wears them. This time only for a second in that aisle.

Then we stopped at Kohl's so that A could buy a couple bras. She picked her bras and threatened to wear one around the store over her shirt! I think I really would have peed my pants if she did! Instead she just held one up to her boobs. She didn't walk around the store that way, but it was still pretty funny!

Finally, we went to the bar. They had a $3 Jolly Rancher drink special. Delicious! We had a few drinks, made fun of the drunk people (who were also probably laughing at us!), and did a horrible job answering random trivia. I did learn that a baby fish is called a fry and not a guppy. Who says you can't learn anything at the bar?

Anyway, the night was very fun and I don't think that I could pick a favorite part.

BB went on a date this weekend. He and his girlfriend went ice skating and to watch C's dad's hockey team play. BB has never ice skated before, but C's mom said he did very well for his first time. He loved it! They got to watch the hockey game from the front row. C's dad gave BB the puck from the winning goal. He loves that too. I'm surprised that he left it in the living room instead of sleeping with it! C's mom and dad tried to take them bowling afterward, but couldn't get a lane. They had to settle for playing games at the arcade and eating chicken fingers! BB was in heaven! So, any suggestions on where we can take BB and C the next time that they go out? Keep in mind, I live in a very cold place... so we need indoor activities.

Here's a picture of BB and C ice skating that her mom sent me.

A fake post

I had very good intentions to write a post tonight... then my friends took me out and got me drunk! He's so sleazy! When we were at a baseball game this summer, I was taking GB to the bathroom then stopping at the concession stand. I asked him if he wanted anything. You can use your imagination to figure out his answer... He's lucky that GB was too young to understand that he said anything wrong! I was PISSED OFF! The hubby won't even leave me alone with him. When father-in-law came to visit, hubby needed to leave for a few minutes. He called my dad to come stay with me while he was gone! This is one of my favorite cakes that I have made. So, here it is:

Speaking of time at the in-laws, Mum of Two asked if the in-laws were really THAT bad. The answer is a big, fat YES! They are the definition of country. They live out in the middle of nowhere and are the countriest of country folks... I am the farthest thing from country. I grew up and still live in the suburbs. The hubby and one brother escaped the country by going to a big city college and not moving back. Most of the old habits are gone, but the other brother, his family, father-in-law, and his girlfriend are still very, very country. In addition, they have no manners. When they burp their monstrous burps, they don't say excuse me. All they talk about is hunting and fishing. I don't have any interest in either hearing about or seeing pictures of the deer they shot. This list could go on and on... Hubby's semi-normal brother is very religous and I have to watch what I say around he and the wife. I am Cathoolic, but not quite as immersed in my religion as they are.

*DISCLAIMER* This post is meant to describe my in-laws only. I know not all country living people are not like this.

Welcome to 2009!

The holidays went pretty well. No major mishaps to note. The bears loved their Christmas gifts and we actually saw my brothers' families on Christmas! The sisters-in-law were ok with the bears' levels of sickness. That meant I had to be cordial to them instead of father-in-law... A few hours of pain and it was over with!

We did see father-in-law yesterday, along with the rest of the in-laws. Lucky for me, they like my friend, so she was invited (and actually went!!). I, of course, mingled with the in-laws a little, but mostly hung out with my friend. So, not too painful!! I made a penguin cake for the get together. It's my best yet!! I will post pics when I get them on my computer. The best part of the day? I got to have a frisco burger at Hardee's! I love Hardee's and there is not one close to us, but every time I see the in-laws, I get Hardee's. It's my own little reward for putting up with them! :)

I had my phone replaced by a moron at the verizon store who tried to tell me that my phone was vibrating after she held it up to her ear... Yes, she listened to see if it vibrated. She handed the phone back to me like I was the moron who couldn't figure out my own phone. I had her call my phone again and gave it back to her when it didn't vibrate. She then replaced my phone. So, it was mostly painless. But, I did have my phone replaced and I didn't even have to Fedex it. They did it right in the store for me. It works really well now.

BB goes back to school tomorrow. I'm kind of sad about that. I enjoyed him being home. Plus I didn't have to try to get him to school and back on time. But, it's back to the grind!

Here's to a happy and safe 2009!

Merry Christmas!

Santa is done wrapping and has officially over bought! The only problem is that it stopped vibrating when it rings so I have no idea when somebody calls or texts me. I have to hit the Verizon store in the midst of the crazy Christmas season... that won't be fun! Hopefully they can fix it or give me a new phone. My mom thinks that I will have to Fed Ex it because I didn't actually buy it at the store, but ordered it by calling the 800 number. This better not be the case. How can they expect me to go that long without a phone?!?! Especially over the holidays. It will take all of those extra days. So, wish me luck at the store!

In other bad news, BB was at the doctor last week. He has been coughing for weeks, but had no other symptoms. Last week, he woke with a croup cough and a fever. I took him to the doctor. She put him on prednisone for the croup and amoxicilan for bronchitis. He is done with the prednisone, but still has a few days of the amoxicilan left. He is sounding so much better!

To make it even worse, GB started coughing yesterday. She sounds bad now too. Hopefully she will start to feel better faster than BB (and me. I've been coughing since the week before Thanksgiving). Our Christmas plans will probably be changed because she is sick. I have germophobe sisters-in-law. Even if the bears were sick two weeks ago and are fine now, we couldn't be around their kids. My brothers have made bad choices in wives, but that is a long story for another day!

Anyway, this means the hubby will probably invite his father to our house for dinner. Imagine the most "hick-ish" person that you know and muliply that by about 100. That's my father-in-law. And the bears barely know him because he never made an effort to make himself available to see them. We have tried to go see him or invite him here many times and he always was going to see his ex-girlfriend. Now, on Christmas, he'll have nothing better to do, so he'll be here.

The worst news yet? I still have nothing to give my dad for Christmas. The man has everything! If he wants it, he buys it... The bears want to buy him a gift card for his favorite restaurant. I don't really like to give gift cards but at this point I might have too! Any suggestions that you have are encouraged!!

Sorry to be a downer, but this Christmas season has not been the best.

Momma Bear's new toy...

Yep, that's right. I got a new toy! Get your mind out of the gutter, not that kind of toy! I got a new cell phone!! I have been talking about a new phone for months but didn't want to spend the money on what I wanted. Finally, my mom got sick of hearing me talk about it an decided to order me a phone for Christmas. I guess technically, I ordered it, but mom and dad paid. I picked it up this afternoon and have been playing with it ever since. My poor children were neglected this evening! (Disclaimer: I was at my parents house, so grandma and pap were watching them. So, not technically neglected! No reason to call CYS k?!?)

So, I got this fancy phone with a fancy camera and touch screen with a qwerty keyboard... Sorry, I'll stop drooling now. I even figured out how to get my pictures and contacts and everything on to the new phone! So, you want to meet the new love of my life? Well, here he is!

Handsome little guy, huh?

While we are talking about phones, I have to tell you about the bears and their phones. I think that the hubby and I (and the niece) text a little too much because the bears have been "texting" on their cell phones. BB even wanted to take his phone to bed with him. Why? "What if somebody sends me a text while I'm sleeping?" The boy had me almost crying, I laughed so hard. Then I made sure that the phone was not in his bed. Of course, first thing in the morning, he had to check his phone to see if he got any texts!

Just one more reason I should be afraid of the bears growing up...

I'm starting to worry...

I'm starting to worry about GB's teenage years. Yes, you read that right. I'm worried about my three year old's teenage years! My hubby's 13 year old niece stayed with us over the weekend. She came to go to a hockey game with us and stayed to go to a football game with her parents. She got a cell phone for her birthday. She was texting her friends the entire time she was here! If that's not enough to make make me worry, the background on her cell phone? A shirtless hockey player. Yep, totally hot, but not what I expected to be on her cell phone. She is obsessed with the hockey players, as I am , but I'm an adult... (It doesn't make the hubby real happy though.) To make things even worse, she told me that her friend has a boyfriend! She is entirely too young for this! Her friend's boyfriend is in highschool, they are in seventh grade... SEVENTH GRADE! This is totally insane to me. I think I'll be institutionalized in 10 years!

The on again, off again relationship.

No, it's not the hubby and I. My four year old BB has an on again, off again relationship with his pre-school girlfriend. I think I have a little heart breaker on my hands! His girlfriend, we'll call her "C", told him earlier this week that she didn't like him anymore because he likes another girl "B". BB came home from school very upset about that because he and C had been friends for over a year. Not just friends, but wouldn't play with anybody else in class friends. Over the past few weeks, C would play with other kids and do things that BB doesn't like to do, so he decided to play with different kids doing what he likes. So one day, she accused him of liking B. Then told him that she doesn't like him anymore.

Being the good mom that I am, I chuckled to myself. Then we talked about it and BB decided that he would ask C why she said that. The next time he saw C, he asked her and told her that it hurt his feelings. She said that she was just joking and she still likes him. The hubby said that "women are mean and play with men's hearts at all ages." He got the stink eye from me because, of course, I wouldn't "play with men's hearts." Anyway, the kids are tight again.

BB also has a birthday party to go to on Saturday. The birthday girl is not somebody that he plays with in school, but he really wanted to go... I asked him what birthday girl likes. He said, "I don't know." I asked him what she plays with at school. He said, "I don't know." Yeah, that was super helpful! I told him to ask her what she wanted for her birthday (fully expecting that he wouldn't because he's really shy). He shocked me yesterday when he came home from school. He told me he did ask her what she wants. I get all excited, now I don't have to figure something out for the girl I don't know. You know what he tells me? "She said something, but I don't know what it is"

Me: What is it?
BB: I don't know.
Me: Well, what did she say?
BB: I don't know. She said something, but I don't remember what it was.
Me: Thanks BB. That was helpful.

The only thing that helps me out now is that when I talked to her mom to RSVP, she told me that she likes barbies and other girly things that I don't remember (see where BB gets it?!?). So, we will go to the store and buy a barbie and give her a gift receipt and hope she likes it.

Halloween is fun for me too!

We had a football player and Tinkerbell going trick or treating this Halloween. The bears went with the hubby and made it all the way around the block! They never make it all the way around on a normal walk so I was surprised that they could make it while they had to walk up and down steps at a lot of houses too. Well, I'll take that back BB made it all the way around. GB made it about 3/4 of the way before she fell and hurt herself. Then she resigned herself to the stroller. I stayed home because somebody had to hand out candy to the other trick or treaters (definitely not because I'm lazy ;)). So the bears got tons of candy. So, that's where it's fun for me... they aren't old enough yet to realize that I'm eating their candy. And I eat their candy. Lots and lots of candy. I should really go to the gym to get in "square" daily now, but that's not happening (still not cause I'm lazy ;)). I'm lucky if I make it one a week! Hopefully I'll make it tomorrow along with voting...

I still think that I know who I'm voting for, but I still go back and forth. I guess I'll have to see where my debate is when I make it into the booth. I wish that there was a Ben & Jerry's around so that I could get free ice cream after I vote. Like I need that with all the candy in this house! So, if you don't hear from me soon, it's because I ate too much Halloween candy and exploded. But don't worry, I will make sure that I vote first :)

A little GB funny.

Today I told GB that I was calling Grandma to see if she could watch GB while I went to the gym. They have a child care room at the gym and GB asked if she could go there. For reasons I have yet to figure out, the child care is closed between 1:00 and 4:00. That's the time that I usually go because it's across the street from BB's school and I drop him off at 12:30. So, after telling her she couldn't go because the child care is closed, she said "Can I go watch you get in square?"

Me: Get in square? What do you mean?
Her: Watch you get in square.
Me: ...........? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

GB found it funny too. I think that I know who I am going to vote for. I also used this calculator just for fun and my results agree with what I thought anyway so that was a bonus. So, unless something drastic happens over the next few weeks, I'm good...

I sent a friend an email that I got a few days ago about if the tables were turned regarding the candidates. Such as "What if Obama paraded five kids across the stage (one being a pregnant, unwed teenage daughter)?" or "What if Obama graduated fifth from the bottom of his class?" There was also "What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker?" and "What is McCain was only married once, and Obama a divorcee?" Then it listed schooling for the candidates:

Barack Obama:
Columbia University - B.A. Political Science with a Specialization in International Relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

Joseph Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in History and B.A. in Political Science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)
vs.
John McCain:
United States Naval Academy - Class rank: 894 of 899

Sarah Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism

Now, this email didn't really sway my opinion either way, but it really made me think. So, as I said, I sent it out saying it was interesting. Well, a friend of mine sent an email to someone else that accidentally was sent to me instead. Basically, she said something to the effect of "Momma Bear sent this to me. This is so ridiculous. I can't believe that she would even take time to send it out. " Then there was some ranting about double standards... I found this really funny! And of course I kind of called her on it! Then she kind of back pedaled and changed the subject to an upcoming wedding that we will both be attending. lol.

On a lighter note, we took the bears to the local farm for the halloween pumpkin festivities. That place was CRAZY! There were so many people there. The bears had fun crawling on all of the pumpkins, playing in corn and hay, and finding their way through the corn maze. Then, of course, they had a bounce house and train... cause that goes right along with the fall festivities right? Anyway, the bears had fun and that's all that matters. That and they got to pick a pumpkin and some gourds.

I took GB to the doctor for her three year checkup. The doctor is sending her back to a pediatric eye doctor. She went for the first time when she was six months old. The doctor had noticed some slight crossing of her one eye and wanted it checked out. The eye doctor cleared her saying that she had "psuedo crossing" which gives the impression that there is slight crossing, but there is really none, but still wanted to see her back in a year just to "make sure." Well, the pediatrition noticed it again, so back we go. This sucks! They did do an eyesight screening there and she's 20/20 in one eye and 20/30 in the other. Most likely there is no problem, according to the doctor. Hopefully she's right.

Well this got longer than I meant for it to be, so if you made it this far, thanks for reading!

My fellow bloggers, I need your help...

I have this dilemma. According to hubby, Obama does not support nuclear energy. The hubby fears that he will lose his job should Obama take office. So, we obviously know who the hubby is voting for. I don't agree with many of McCain's positions. I feel like if I vote for McCain, I will be going against everything I believe in. Besides that, I really, really don't like Palin! But, if I vote Obama, I will vote against my family. I am a stay at home mom. We cannot afford for the hubby to lose his job!

So, please help me with my dilemma! It was her birthday and we were having a party. We had 23 people in my little house! Luckily it was very warm and sunny today so we could be outside a lot. GB got a ton of gifts. She loved her cake. We went with a princess theme and I made a Cinderella cake and a carriage cake. They turned out beautiful (if I do say so myself!). And I didn't kill any in-laws! Overall, it was a good day!

And now for the cake:

GB's birthday

GB's birthday is on Sunday. There will be more people at my house than it should comfortably hold. There are still seven people who have not decided if they will grace us with their presence. I started the flowers for the cakes... I'm not nearly as far as I should be on this task. The house is still a mess. The hubby says we will work on that tomorrow, but he doesn't clean it to meet my standards... The presents still need to be wrapped. I still need to buy wrapping paper. Oh, and balloons.

There is a silver lining here... I get the whole day to myself on Saturday to work on the cakes and things! Oh yeah, and GB will be happy! ;)

I took BB shopping last night so he could pick out a gift for GB. I gave him money to pay for it. He thought this was the coolest thing EVER! He bought her a car seat for her doll. She is going to LOVE it! I see in my future: GB strapping baby into said car seat every time we go out. I also see us being late a lot! GB is also getting a dollhouse which she better like because it was super expensive!

Wish me luck... Especially having the in laws in the house. Hopefully they will all make it out alive!

The bathroom

I finally took pictures of the finished bathroom! I liked it enough that I decided to steal it.

So, If I changed my name, I would be:

MY GANGSTA NAME: (first 3 letters of your first name plus “izzle”) Kriizzle (not quite sure how to pronounce that...)

MY DETECTIVE NAME: (favorite color, favorite animal) Blue Dog (sounds more like a bar.)

MY SOAP OPERA NAME: (middle name, name of one of your pets) Marie Mystie (actually does sound somewhat soap opera-esque!)

MY SUPERHERO NAME: (“The” plus 2nd favorite color, favorite drink) The purple margarita (I guess that sounds better than the answer with my second favorite drink: sex on the beach!)

MY NASCAR NAME: (the first names of your grandfathers) Earl Paul (Yep, I'll win with a name like that!)

MY WITNESS PROTECTION NAME: (mother’s & father’s middle names ) Carole John (I think I met somebody with this name once... do I have a sister out there in the witness protection program?)

MY SPY NAME: (your favorite season/holiday, flower) Autumn Rose (Very nice... No secret is safe with me on the case!)

So there you have it! I think that my favorite is Kriizle even if I don't know how to pronounce it!

Rain in the bathroom.

Today the hubby got himself ready for work just like any other day. He was brushing his teeth and all the sudden was rained on. Hmmm... the bathroom that he was using is in our (finished) basement so no hole in the roof (and luckily not the bathroom that we just finished!)... I woke up a little while later to find the hubby still hadn't left for work. This is so unlike the hubby! The first words out of his mouth? No, not "Good Morning" or anything like that. It was "We got trouble." He led me to the bathroom where my dad and the hubby were tearing the ceiling down. We had a pipe that had apparently been leaking for a while as there is mold and puddles in the ceiling. Luck for us, we know a plumber who does work on the side on the cheap! So, this evening he was here working on replacing the pipe. Also, luckily for me, my parents live nearby and I could go there to take a shower since the hubby turned off the hot water.

Now I'm wondering if the house ghost made it rain in the bathroom. What ghost? Why the one that turns the tv on in the gameroom really loud when the bears are in bed and the hubby, dog, cat, and I are in the livingroom. Yes, this happened a few days ago. The ghost apparently likes football! So, does anybody have any ideas for getting rid of ghosts? Hope he/ she doesn't read my blog! He/ she might be one step ahead of me...
