The cake.

Whoa... I've been gone forever!
Or so it seems! I've been super busy. BB has school four days a week. He loves it, but it's wearing me out! Trying to get there on time and pick him up on time is really working my nerves. I was late picking him up one day by about three minutes. So, the next day, he begged me to stay. Of course, I said no. He told me that I could bring my computer and sit outside of the classroom. Ummmm... No.
GB has dance class every Thursday night. She's loving it too! A group of three year olds doing ballet and tap is just too cute for me to handle! I don't get to see too much because the instructor keeps the door closed most of the time, but what I do see is super cute. GB asks almost every day, "Do I have dance school today?"
I finished my last cake decorating class tonight. The instructor was impressed by my cake. She even told me that I should enter it in a contest! I think that it turned out nice, but it was just practice for GB's birthday cake next month. I will be sure to post pictures after I get them from my Mom's memory card. I'm kind of sad that this was the last class. I have so much fun decorating cakes. It's like a release for me. Plus, I get a few childless hours! That's always a bonus!
The bathroom is finally just about finished! All that is left is accessories. I need to find a nice shower curtain and maybe some curtains. I also need a towel bar and a pretty towel. Good thing I love to shop. ;) Too bad we aren't rich, I would love to be able to shop more! Anyway, pictures to come soon.
The hubby has now caught five chipmunks. FIVE. This is crazy. I thought my nemesis was one little chipmunk. Boy was I wrong! The hubby is convinced that there are more out there still. So, I'll keep you all updated. Crystal, I'll send the hubby after your gophers when he's sure that the chipmunks are gone.

Ok, I can admit it...
I was wrong, I didn't give the hubby enough credit. He got the chipmunk! But we know that there is at least one more because we've seen it. That means that the hubby had to set up the trap again. Let's just hope that there's only one more.
BB went to school again today and did really well. He did bonk his head on the playroom floor, but his teacher said he didn't even cry! Had Mummy been there, he would have been screaming at the top of his lungs.
GB has been pretty good so far about not being allowed to stay at school. Last year, she had to be dragged out of the school screaming because she wanted to stay. Unfortunately, she misses the age cut off by about a month, so we wait till next year...

What an exciting time!
It's been an exciting couple of days! BB started preschool today. I also started preschool today! Moms (or Dads or whoever...) had to stay with the kids today. We started our preschool day with a scavenger hunt. BB loved this! He even suggested that we do this at home. Then the kids had some free play time. BB drew a few pictures then reunited with his best friend from last year. BB's friend is a girl, but it doesn't matter to him (or me). She loves cars and hockey. She also was wearing a Wall-E shirt today. I think BB is in love... The day ended with BB's teacher reading "The Kissing Hand" to the kids. If you've never read this story, you should. When I was teaching, I always read this to my students, especially when we would get a new student. Anyway, BB had a blast and is really excited to go back tomorrow. This is especially good since last year he never wanted to go to school. My only problem tomorrow is going to be GB wanting to stay at school. She wants to go to school so bad but misses the age cutoff by about a month. Oh well, she can stay my baby a little longer. She starts dance class this week too!
We cleaned the entire house yesterday! Our house has not looked this good in years! Why, you ask? We changed our cable, phone, and internet to Verizon Fios! It took all day for the installation. It could have taken a little less time, but we had a very talkative installer. So far, everything is working well.
The hubby set up a trap for the chipmunk. Turns out the chipmunk is smarter than the hubby! Let's not tell the hubby I said that though, k?

Cakes are yummy! (and pretty)
The bears have been amazingly good the last few days! They have been playing together really well. A few fights every once in a while, but that's normal sibling behavior, right? They even let me sleep in yesterday and played together. Normally, BB comes in and wakes me up when he gets up. Yesterday he didn't. He also got GB out of bed when she woke up so she didn't wake me up. According to BB, he looked for me in my bed, but I "disappeared." I didn't go anywhere... Any other day, I would have been really upset. But yesterday, I was exhausted and I've been suffering from a lot of headaches recently. So, as you can see, I was extremely excited! Never mind the mess that I had to clean up... They decided that it would be a good idea to play moon sand. The makers of moon sand should be shot!
In other news, I started a cake decorating class today! I've taken three before and this is the final one. I love cake decorating and would try to make a living out of it if I was forced to get a job right now. I'm sad that in four weeks I won't have a reason to make cakes except for the bears' birthdays. Everybody else in the family is dieting, so no cake making for them... So I made the first cake for this class. It turned out beautiful! This is only the second time that I've ever used fondant, so go easy on me! GB really liked it and told me so about ten times! Without further ado...

The bathroom remodel is coming along nicely. The tile is primed and ready to be painted. The floor is bought and ready to be put down. Then the toilet can be installed. After that, all we need are nice, yet affordable, accessories.
The chipmunks and mice have not been caught yet. The mice worry me more than the chipmunk since the chipmunk is outside of my house. The hubby thinks that the mice are either back outside or dead because we don't have any food in the garage. I'm sure if I believe him.
